The Adult Day Program offers a social and stimulating day for seniors living in the Comox Valley who require some support. The program operates from 9:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. seven days a week. One of the goals of the program is to provide a day off for the caregiver.
Clients are referred to the Adult Day Program through CV Home & Community Care. The user fee is $6 per participant. You may be asked to tour the program in order to ensure that your loved one would be willing to use the service. To arrange a tour call the Lodge at (250) 338-1451 and ask for the Adult Day Program.
We offer a care givers support program called "The Supper Club". This program is attended by both the client with memory issues and their caregiver. Clients are referred to the Supper Club through CV Home & Community Care. The user fee is $5 per participant. Prior to the start of the Supper Club, the group leader will be in touch. One night a week over twelve weeks, the client and caregivers meet from 3:30 p.m. until after the supper hour. The program is intended to provide caregiver support and education, and expand new supportive relationships. The program content is based on the Memories and More program. We cover topics such as new communication strategies, managing tasks, and development of a life story book which aids in meaningful visitation.
