We are committed to leading best practices to deliver resident-centered care. Glacier View Lodge provides a caring home for residents who have complex health needs. Recognized for excellence in dementia care, GVL offers professional nursing service, activation programming, nutritional services, spiritual care, housekeeping and laundry services.
Residents are admitted to one of three care units, based on the assessment by their Case Manager.Ā Each resident has a furnished single room and bathroom.Ā Each care unit has shared dining room, activity space, and access to gardens and walkways.

In addition to providing nursing care, and a wide range of hospitality services, we offer a wide range of programs and opportunities intended to enhance social engagement and meaningful activity. We contract the services of many different clinicians who offer services to our residents.Ā These include, but are not limited to a Medical Director, Pharmacy, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Therapist, Music Therapist, Dental Hygienist and Foot Care Nurse.
We involve many different groups and individuals in our community.Ā Ā We welcome families to become active participants in our community.Ā Individual volunteers provide a wide range of services from visitation, hostessing at meals, pet visitation, outing assistance and much more.Ā Community groups support us with faith services, music, incorporation of childrenās groups and more.
We welcome families and residents to have an active voice in the operation of Glacier View Lodge.Ā Ā Some of the ways that we gather input is through our Residents Council and Family Council.
Residents Council & Family Council
Residents Council is a monthly gathering of a group of residents who are able to speak on behalf of all who live at the Lodge.Ā The group provides input into decision making and shares their thoughts on improvements that could enhance the lives of residents.Ā The group also participates in some internal fundraising activities (Tuck Shop sales, operating the Beauty Salon, Bazaar, Bake sale, Plant saleā¦) to fund special programs and equipment.
Family CouncilĀ is an organized, self-led, self-determining groupĀ composed of the family members and loved ones of residents of Glacier View Lodge. Our goal is to support one another as caregivers by sharing concerns and worries, enriching ourselves by inviting guest speakers with knowledge in fields pertaining to the lives of our loved ones, sharing thoughts on how to improve the lives of all residents and providing a venue for expressions of admiration for the advances being done by the dedicated staff and management. We meet monthly and hope to make our meetings, not only effective, but also fun. All families and loved ones of residents are welcome to attend this meeting, and your presence would be greatly appreciated.
We also welcome both residents and family members to be part of our Quality Improvement team.
