New entrance a true community project!

We are so grateful for all the community support we received to clean up the front entry to the Lodge. First, the vision from Brian Willis, Bryan Cuthill removed the aging azaleas, and our Board Chair Anne Judson approached companies to help with the clearing of the landscape fabric and all the azalea roots. Edgett Excavating Ltd. provided the equipment and 2 laborers, along with Bruce McMillan, to get the area cleared at no charge. Comox Valley Irrigation has done several hours of work on our behalf for no charge to adjust sprinklers, John Watt and Vancouver Island Enterprises donated the soil for the project, and River Meadow Farms provided great discounts on the sod. Since the photo was taken, specialty rhodos have been planted and now mother nature is taking care of the watering! Special thanks to our maintenance team for all their work prepping the area.
